How do you measure up a room to work out the square metreage?

There are many ways to measure up the area of a room, however all you really need to know is the length and the width. It is usually best to create a drawing of the shape of the room and then measure the room to determine the length & the width. Once all of the measurements have been taken and you have the length and the width simply multiply these to get your square metreage. i.e. Length 3.0 metres by width 4.0 metres equals a total area of 12.00m2.

Why does a floor need latexing before you lay a floor finish?

Floor preparation is key to allow a fitter to lay a finished floor correctly. Covering the floor with latex screed allows the sub floor to be leveled out prior to either wood flooring, luxury vinyl tiles or wet room floor finishes being fitted. A smooth sub floor will provide an excellent looking finish when the works are completed. 

What is a LVT Flooring?

LVT Flooring is formally know as Luxury Vinyl Tiles. This type of flooring is a fantastic alternative to engineered wooden flooring and creates the effect of real wooden flooring. It is hard wearing and is quicker to install.
